Control Room

Our Emergency Control Room underwent a major refurbishment in 2021. It now links up more than 220 public space cameras across North Somerset and a further 200 cameras across our council owned assets.

In addition: 

• our control room is staffed 7 days a week, 365 days a year
• our Control Room staff work directly with the Police and our safer communities teams
• high-quality footage allows us to assist investigations into crime, anti-social behaviour and environmental crime such as fly-tipping, graffiti and fly posting 
• we monitor Town Centre Store/Pub Net radios, as well as the Police AirWave radios, so we can respond to requests from Police and businesses for assistance
