Using funding from Safer Streets, we have invested in 18 mobile CCTV cameras to be used in North Somerset and Somerset.
The effectiveness of enhanced CCTV in reducing violent crime and improving feelings of safety is widespread.
The mobile CCTV cameras will be put in priority areas based upon recorded Violence Against Women and Girls crime data and engagement with the community around locations that they feel unsafe.
These cameras are re-deployable which means they can move according to different locations where there are emerging issues.
